Enabling individuals to conduct historical research is central to our mission. The Museum is an extraordinary resource for researching local and New England history, as well as family genealogy. The Museum also houses a small but significant collection of books about the history of Wellfleet, Cape Cod and New England, including titles published by the WHS&M. Our docents and staff assist visitors in tracking down information and they can sometimes offer anecdotal and personal information to enhance the research.
