Summer Intern/Historical Assistant

Vendor/Contractor wanted to assist the Historical Commission and Historical Society on Projects and Activities for the months of July and August 2019

30-35 hours per week Pay commensurate with experience.

Seeking individual with a major or minor in History

Candidate must be responsible, professional, possess good communication skills, computer skills, be a good collaborator and be able to work independently.

The Wellfleet Historical Museum offers internship opportunities in collections management, education, oral history, development, marketing/events, and research.
Interns will participate in many of the museum’s activities, including exhibits, programs, special events and interaction with the public. The internships are volunteer, however, individuals may arrange credit through their school. We welcome creative, self-motivated, independent individuals with a strong interest in history or museum studies. Excellent organizational and computer skills are necessary.
