Reminiscing helps keep history alive.  

Bring your favorite story about Wellfleet whether it be the town, the people, your proudest moment or wildest hijinks. What were special days  like when you got together with friends? Where did you meet? What did a nickel get you - or a dollar? For those adult years - did you hop in the car to go dancing in P-Town? This is a great time to relate tales about what those from away called the off-season but locals called “our time.” 

There will be a few stories lined up ahead of time to get started. They include “goings on” at the town dump (before it was a transfer station), the pier and on Main Street. And at least one real ghost story.  

Each time WHS&M hosts one of these “I Remember Wellfleet” talks we find out more about our town. Dwight Estey will moderate this informal discussion but the stars are those who share their stories for all to enjoy.
