Five remarkable, diverse homes create the constellation of our tour this year, each stopping point revealing a fascinating aspect of Wellfleet’s history and contemporary diversity.
Our sense of “home” expands this year to include the downtown home of the Masons, the handsome Adams Masonic Lodge whose history reaches all the way back to Paul Revere, who made yet another ride to dedicate the building in the 1700s.
Other stops along the way include an historic Banks Street home that once was the local bank, one of the few brick buildings in town that served as home to the local dentist, a beautiful modern reinvention of the classic notion of a seaside cottage, and an eclectic, creative use of the long and skinny woodlot to create a marvelous, comfortable home.
Please note that you must pick up a House Tour Booklet at the Museum on the day of the Tour. Museum staff will have a record of your purchase.
